Ayşe Nilüfer Türkçü graduated from Izmir Bornova Anatolian High School and subsequently from West Point High School in the State of Virginia, United States of America. She commenced her legal education at Istanbul University Faculty of Law and completed both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the same institution. Having begun her professional career at Birsel Law Office in 2002 and later worked at Paksoy Partner Law Office between 2014 and 2016, Ms Türkçü took part in mergers and acquisitions across various sectors, including banking, insurance, energy, mining and media, and provided legal advice to numerous domestic and international banks, financial institutions and export credit agencies in connection with their financing activities. In 2016, Ms Türkçü joined Lidya Madencilik, a subsidiary of Çalık Holding, as Legal Counsel, and served as Chief Legal and Compliance Counsel at Çalık Holding between 2017 and 2024. In 2024, after serving as Chief Legal Counsel in our Company between April and November, she was reappointed as Chief Legal Counsel as of May 2025. As of November 2025, Ms Türkçü continues to serve as Chief Legal and Compliance Counsel. With more than 20 years of experience as a senior legal executive and counsel to leading companies in Turkey and abroad, Ms Nilüfer Türkçü possesses extensive expertise in foreign investment, corporate and commercial transactions, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and banking and finance.
