The foundations of Aksa Power Generation were laid in 1968 with the establishment of an electric motor factory by Ali Metin Kazancı. The Company produced its first generator in 1984. Within a short period, it specialised in the manufacturing of machinery and equipment and became one of the leading generator manufacturers worldwide.

Aksa Power Generation has consistently upheld its leadership in the Turkish generator market for many years, whilst contributing continuously to the national economy as one of Turkey’s major exporters. Aksa Power Generation, which strengthens its innovative product development capabilities through its investments in technology and R&D, is a global brand that sets the standards within its field of operation.

Aksa Power Generation is one of the world’s pioneers in the production of natural-gas-fired generators and a reputable reference point in synchronous generator projects. In recent years, the Company has undertaken intensive work on generator technologies featuring reduced fuel consumption, lower noise levels and decreased environmental impact.

Aksa Generator, through its production facilities in Turkey (Çerkezköy, 40,000 m² indoor area), China (Changzhou, 80,000 m² indoor area) and Spain (Zaragoza, 5,000 m² indoor area), together with its trade centres in Rotterdam/Dordrecht (the Netherlands, 2,000 m² indoor area), the UAE (Dubai, 10,000 m² indoor area) and the USA (Houston, 20,000 m² indoor area), manufactures petrol, diesel and natural-gas-fuelled generators ranging from 1 kVA to 3,125 kVA, portable generators, marine generators, hybrid generators, lighting towers, Rental Pack and Twin Power rental and sectoral products, as well as generator equipment.

The Company ranks among the foremost generator manufacturers, with 22 overseas offices across Asia, Europe, Africa and America. By the end of 2024, it will conduct its overseas operations through offices in the USA, the UAE, Algeria, China, Indonesia, Ghana, South Africa, the Netherlands, Iraq, the UK, Spain, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Uzbekistan, Singapore, Sudan, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam.

As the longstanding leader of the Turkish generator market, Aksa Power Generation delivers its continually diversified product range to consumers at accessible price levels through 19 APC (Aksa Power Centre) sales locations across Turkey. Through its e-commerce platform (shop.aksa.com.tr), launched in 2020, the Company further reinforced its position in the domestic market by offering portable generator products that provide uninterrupted energy support under all circumstances. Placing global objectives at the core of its growth strategy, Aksa Power Generation continues to broaden its international sales network. During the reporting period, the Company expanded its global sales structure to 22 offices in 18 countries, with a presence in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas. In 2020, Aksa Power Generation strengthened its influence in Europe through the establishment of its new commercial centre in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Benefiting from the strategic location of this centre, Aksa Power Generation commenced the supply of innovative and environmentally responsible products originating from the European Union, particularly hybrid generators focusing on energy efficiency, to customers in Western and Northern Europe as well as other continents. In September 2023, Aksa Power Generation acquired the majority shareholding of the Spanish manufacturer Dagartech in order to further expand its footprint in Europe. Through this acquisition, Aksa aims to develop products with Stage 5 certification in accordance with European emissions standards.
