In 2002, Betül Işıklar graduated from Sakarya University, Department of Environmental Engineering, and subsequently completed her master’s degree in Business Administration at Osmangazi University, Institute of Social Sciences. After working as an Environmental Engineer in the private sector between 2003 and 2005, she joined Aksa Power Generation in 2005 as Environment and OHS Officer. Ms Işıklar served at Aksa Power Generation as Quality–Environment–OHS Officer between 2007 and 2011, as Quality Assurance Manager between 2011 and 2013, and in 2013 she was appointed Business Processes Manager within the newly established Business Processes Department at Kazancı Holding. Between 2020 and 2023, she served as Corporate Architecture Manager within the Corporate Architecture Directorate. In alignment with the Aksa 2030 Global Strategy, Ms Işıklar led the Group’s work on Sustainability and was appointed Corporate Governance and Sustainability Group Manager in January 2023. Betül Işıklar was subsequently appointed as Corporate Governance and Sustainability Director as of January 2025.
